Job description:

At our client and the department för Projects, they develop and realise asset-based solutions that enable our client to become fossil free within one generation. Their focus areas enable them to play a key role in driving realisation of our clients strategy in supporting growth and greening the portfolio. When it comes health and safety, they are helpoing their projects protect the team members and communities. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Project Health & Safety Manager to coordinate and support one of the projects in Uppsala, Sweden.

As part of the team, in this initial remit you will provide Health & Safety (H&S) support and leadership to a (EPCM) project at ou clients facilities in Uppsala. You’ll serve as a business partner working with Line of Business (LOB) H&S Manager, Project Manager, Construction Manager to lead H&S excellence and deliver a project ensures no worker injuries or negative impacts to the business continuity. 

By establishing working relationships, you’ll provide visible support and leadership to the Projects and LOB stakeholders by providing interpretation, training, technical review and support, regulatory guidance and governance oversight to ensure alignment and consistent implementation of the clients H&S program.

You’ll be charged to lead/support incident notification, investigation and reporting process. You’ll develop the project specific H&S plans, Employers Requirements, review of (sub)contractors, review of hazard assessments and deliverables, and participate as required in engineering, construction, commissioning and operational readiness reviews or other forums relevant to project success.

The only travel anticipated with this role is to and from the office/project sites in Uppsala. Business and Project meetings may require additional travel.

Requirments

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of demonstrated professional experience in a similar leadership role in managing Construction Health and Safety, including up to H&S staff direct reports and managing (sub)contractors
• Experience with managing and conducting safety compliance and leadership training
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
• Demonstrated interpersonal relations and personnel management skills
• Working knowledge in applicable regulatory compliance, as well as all Swedish and local H&S requirements
• An ability to speak Swedish and English
